Roadway titles are often sold at auction with a reserve at perhaps £500 or even £0. Titles that sell for more than this tend to have some other potential for development, access or other use.

We are not out fishing for these potential development plots, they are best sold via an agent or at auction. We are just looking for the low-value, low-potential roadway titles. Of course these may include some green areas, verges or footpaths.

For basic registered titles consisting of an adopted road, footpaths, grass verges and odd utility land, we price the titles on a simple formula based on the number of houses fronting the road. For a typical residential street, the rate is £10 per house.

Often, a title consisting of a road can have 50 to 100 houses and so would be £500 to £1,000. Portfolio titles can therefore mount up.

This is a rough guideline figure to give you an expectation and we give a firm price before you commit.
